Vehicle Crime

We are continuing to see an increased number of thefts from motor vehicles in the area.  A number of thefts were reported to us yesterday and every single one was a theft of some sort of bag that was left on the seat and access gained via breaking the window. Please do not leave any items on display in your vehicle, even for a short amount of time.  

In previous days we have also seen a number of vehicles that have been accessed due to being left unlocked.   We have seen no evidence of persons using any sort technology to gain access to vehicles.  We have however seen multiple CCTV footage of persons trying vehicle door handles.  Please do not rely on automatic locking mechanisms and please physically check your doors are locked.
